The first European Sustainable Phosphorus Conference 2013, organised by the European Phosphorus Platform, will discuss the opportunities and challenges related to sustainable phosphorus management. The conference is open to businesses, institutes, governments and non-governmental organisations throughout the European phosphorus value chain.
Frontrunners from several European Member States have collaborated in organising the conference, which will consist of a mix of presentations and interactive sessions over two days. Topics include why to re-use and waste less phosphorus, how to create a market for recycled phosphorus, and the implications for EU policies and regulations.
Confirmed speakers include the European Environment Commissioner, Janez Potočnik, the Flemish Prime Minister, Kris Peeters, and Dr Arno Rosemarin from the Stockholm Environment Institute.
