10 June - 5 July 2013: online
The UK-based Ellen MacArthur Foundation works with education and businesses to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. The Foundation is now launching its first open online course on the subject, which is free to take part in and will provide an initial introduction to the circular economy framework. Read more…
The course, beginning in June, is aimed at teachers, lecturers, students, designers, entrepreneurs and engineers. The course will run for four weeks and will include access to the online platform, a weekly menu of recommended reading, videos, links, circular economy discussion forums and live webinars.
This course is a pilot, intended to find out what does, and does not work when learning about the circular economy online. The Foundation is running the course based on the concept of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), a new learning model that is enabling large-scale interactive education around the world. The course is aimed at everyone interested in the circular economy, with no limit on online attendance.
