28 February 2014: Europe-wide
Green Week 2014, the biggest annual conference on European environmental policy, will take place from 3 to 5 June at The Egg Conference Centre, Rue Bara, in Brussels. Green Week is organised annually by the European Commission. This year, its aim is to reduce the consumption of raw materials and encourage the reuse and recycling of products, thus limiting the production of waste. For an event to be labelled a 'Green Week 2014 satellite event’, it must aim to raise awareness about the circular economy, resource efficiency and waste at local or regional level with colleagues, clients or citizens.
Applications are being invited from local and regional authorities, environmental associations, industries committed to eco-design, think tanks, companies, schools and citizens. The satellite events must take place in May or June 2014, although events that are organised from 3 to 5 June 2014 are particularly welcome. The deadline for submitting an application form is 28 February 2014.
