Transposition (2004)

Member States were to transpose the Directive by 18 July 2004 by bringing into force the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with this Directive no later than 18 July 2004 whilst informing the Commission thereof. Member States transposition measures should contain a reference to this Directive or be accompanied by such a reference on the occasion of their official publication. Member States were furthermore required to communicate the texts of the provisions of national law that they adopt in the field governed by this Directive to the Commission.
