Mid-term review of the 6th EAP
The 6th EAP requires the Commission to "evaluate
the progress made in its implementation together with associated
environmental trends and prospects" (mid-term review).
In order to prepare this mid-term review report, the Commission
broadly consulted interested parties on the progress made
so far with the implementation of the 6th EAP actions. This
included a Member State consultation, an expert panel meeting
on 26/04/2006, input from social partners, business associations,
eco-innovation industry and NGO. Finally, an on-line
public consultation was held from 29th May to 17th July
2006.
Results of the
online consultation
The Commission adopted its mid-term review
report on the 30th April 2007. The report will be subsequently
presented to and discuss by the European Parliament and the
Council.
