This website is a gateway to information about European networks working in the field of environmental public information, communication and awareness raising.

These networks are either supported directly by the European Commission or associated otherwise, for example, by being involved in implementation of  the Commission’s environmental objectives, policy and/or legislation.

The site is to serve as a communication relay between the networks and the European Commission and, more importantly, among the networks themselves.

Activities and contact information
On the site you can find information about the activities and contact details of all of the networks including links to their own websites.

News and events
You can download EECN newsflashes which are issued regularly and deal with topics related to environmental communication, or you can read about  upcoming and recent events throughout Europe.

Best practices and funding
Finally, the EECN secretariat maintains a best practice repository with examples of good environmental communication and a review of funding opportunities for networks available through the European Commission.

Save a link to this page to use it as your main portal for accessing information about what is going on in environmental networks in terms of information, communication and awareness raising, and to keep you up to date with current activities and events around Europe.
