First Marine Biogeographical Process Seminar
Dates: Tuesday, 5 May 2015 - Thursday. 7 May 2015
Location: Saint Malo, France
The kick-off Natura 2000 biogeographical seminar for the marine regions brought together participants from 23 Member States with marine Natura 2000 sites and involved inputs from various stakeholders. It was hosted by the French Agency for Marine Protected Areas and Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy. The seminar themes covered setting conservation objectives for species and habitats, management of fisheries and other activities and regional cooperation for management and financing of marine Natura 2000 network. The participants have visited local marine Natura 2000 sites and shared their management experiences in the evening 'knowledge market'.
