Description
A large warbler (L 15 cm), pale bellow with dark wavy barring, long tail and heavy bill. Yellow iris characteristic on male. Its movements are slower than other warbler. Barred Warbler prefers open bushy areas with hedges and clearings of woodlands. The food is chiefly insects and fruits. Migrant.

Reasons for the need for protection/inclusion in annex I
The main threats for the species are the destruction, fragmentation and degradation of its habitat as a result of afforestation, urban development and fires.
