The LIFE programme supports the implementation of environmental management instruments such as the European Environmental Management Scheme, commonly known as EMAS. It provides beneficiaries with the possibility to test and strengthen approaches to managing their environmental activities, products and services and helps them to achieve environmental obligations and performance goals.
