Joint British Ecological Society and IUCN UK Peatland Programme Symposium

26-28 June 2012, University of Bangor, Bangor, United Kingdom

This international symposium will bring together experts from science, policy and practice to highlight and debate the importance of peatlands and peatland restoration from an ecological, social and economic perspective and showcase successful peatland restoration partnerships. Peatlands are hotspots for biodiversity and ecosystem service provision. They are priority ecosystems for action under international agreements dealing with climate change and biodiversity.

We welcome the submission of abstracts for some additional oral presentations and posters! Please see website for details. We are particularly interested in those that demonstrate successes in partnership working towards peatland restoration across science, policy and practice.
