In addition, in the context of the forthcoming ENVECO meeting to be held on 17-18th April this year, Tony Penn, an official of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has prepared a "Summary of the Natural Resource Damage Assessment Regulations under the United States Oil Pollution Act" (pdf ~70K). ENVECO is a working group on environmental economics organised by DG ECFIN and DG ENV and gathers representatives from Member States' Ministries of economy, finance and environment. Assessment of damage to biodiversity is one of the topics on the agenda of the forthcoming ENVECO meeting.
