Meetings of the project leaders & of the "National Experts" group

Throughout the Demonstration Programme, there have been regular meetings of the project leaders, about twice a year. The purpose of these meetings has been to facilitate the exchange of information and experiences between projects leaders, as well as to provide a forum for discussion with the Commission services.

There have also been regular meetings of the "national experts" group. This group consists of representatives from the governments of the coastal Member States, as well as two representatives each from NGOs, the socio-economic partners, and regional/local administrations. The role of this group is to serve as a channel of communication between the Commission services and the institutions that the experts represent.
