Sustainable Innovation 2014 Conference

Sustainable Innovation 2014 Conference will take place from 3rd – 4th November at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK), in Copenhagen, Denmark. The conference will discuss the opportunities and challenges related to the role of cities and regions in catalysing, facilitating and stimulating sustainable innovation, products, services, technologies and new business models.

The Centre for Sustainable Design (CfSD) was established in 1995 in Farnham, Surrey, UK at what is now the University for the Creative Arts (UCA). The Centre researches, develops and disseminates information on current and future sustainability impacts and solutions through projects,
training, events, networks and information.

During the event a number of guest speakers will discuss the theme ‘Cities & Regions as Catalysts for Smart & Sustainable Innovation’ including:

• Martin Andersen, Senior Advisor, Danish Energy Industries Federation, Denmark;
• Moa Björnson, Project Manager, Malmö Innovation Platform, Environment Department, City of Malmö, Sweden;
• Dr. Laurent Bontoux, Policy Analyst, JRC, European Commission, Belgium.

The event will provide a platform for learning and networking. Delegates from large companies, SMEs, as well as academia, government and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are encouraged to attend.
