Oxford Forum for Sustainable Cities 2015

The Oxford Forum for Sustainable Cities will take place at Balliol College, Oxford from 17th to 21st December 2015. Sustainable urban development is the focus of the event, with expertise being drawn from leading experts over a range of disciplines.

Current challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, water shortages and sustainable transport will be among the topics discussed over the five day period. Particular attention will be paid to sustainable urbanism, green economy and new architecture in the context of London and beyond.

The forum is designed to be particularly useful for national and city government experts, representatives of relevant businesses and international organisations, as well as PhD and MSc. students. Participants will have an opportunity to present their work and share their experience for the chance to receive valuable feedback. Leading sustainability thinkers will speak about a variety of subjects, including representatives from the European Environment Agency, Siemens and the London School of Economics.

Environment Europe has organised the event, and it is expected to attract a diverse array of interested parties. Some background reading is required in order to fully appreciate the forum.
