OPEN DAYS 2015 – 13th European Week of Regions and Cities

The OPEN DAYS – European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.

12 10 15 Open Days

Taking place between 12th – 15th October 2015, the OPEN DAYS in Brussels will consist of an opening session on the 12th October, followed by some 100 working sessions (workshops or debates from the 13th – 15th October).

With the headline of ‘Europe’s regions and cities: partners for investment and growth’ the 2015 event will be structured around three themes:

1. ‘Modernising Europe’: The regions in the energy Union and the single digital market
2. ‘Regions open for business’: SME development, innovation and job creation
3. ‘Places and spaces’: Urban and rural development; urban-rural integration

Under the three sub-themes, participants are invited to address challenges and solutions related to management and implementation issues as well as the cross-border, inter-regional or transnational dimension.

The detailed OPEN DAYS 2015 Brussels-based programme of workshops will be published on the OPEN DAYS website here in early July 2015.
