The 18th European Conference on Mobility Management

7th – 9th May 2014, Florence, Italy

This year’s conference will focus on “Creating the bridge to a green, fair and prosperous mobility future”. This event has developed as the definitive meeting place for mobility management practitioners   and experts all over Europe.

During this three day event, participants will have the opportunity to partake in high level exchanges on recent European and international developments in the field of mobility management through a series of workshops, plenary sessions, technical visits, as well as an exhibition, all organised as part of the conference.ECOMM is an annual conference which takes place in a European city selected by EPOMM and attracts over 300 delegates. Papers are selected by an International Programme Committee (IPC) with appointed experts from all EPOMM member states.European Green Capital The European Green Capital recognises the impact that well planned sustainable transport can have on the overall environment of a city and has listed local transport as one the 12 indicators for the Award. Effective sustainable urban transport means healthier citizens, more accessibility, improved safety, and more efficient and cost-effective transport of people and goods. European Green Capital 2012 Vitoria-Gasteiz won approval for its Sustainable Mobility Plan and active measures to promote eco-friendly modes of transport, including improvements to the public transport system, the extension of the city’s “Superblock” with its low speed zones (10 km/h) and better management of freight distribution.
