LaMiLo Final Conference

The LaMiLo (Last Mile Logistics) Conference will take place on 24th June 2015 in Brussels, Belgium. The conference aims to explore ways of making the last mile of a supply chain more efficient by encouraging better use of existing transport infrastructure and networks.

The conference will focus on how to:

  • Address the barriers and challenges to achieving efficient last mile logistics,
  • Reduce noise, congestion and emissions from local deliveries,
  • Change the behaviour of private companies, the public sector and consumers,
  • Improve the environmental, financial and social sustainability of urban logistics.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend a number of sessions delivered by leading authorities in the logistics field including:

  • Daniela Rosca, Head of Unit, Clean Transport and Sustainable Urban Mobility, DG-MOVE,
  • Pascal Smet, Minister for Mobility and Public Works, Brussels Government,
  • Henriette van Eijl, Policy Co-ordinator, Innovative and Sustainable Mobility, DG-MOVE,
  • Dr. Tom Cherrett, Associate Professor, Transportation Research Group, Southampton University.
