Grey to Green – Green Roofs for Healthy Cities Conference will take place on 25th-26th August 2014 at The Eaton Chelsea in Toronto, Canada. The conference will focus on the health benefits of green infrastructure – for our economy, our ecosystem and our community.

Grey to Green will shed light on many of the important scientific, design, economic and policy advancements in the green infrastructure field, as put forward by designers, engineers, policy makers, developers and academics. For example, in the United States, policy regarding green infrastructure is rapidly changing, with many jurisdictions recognising the multiple benefits of green infrastructure.

European Green Capital

Today more than two thirds of Europeans live in towns and cities. With more and more people living in high rise developments, the integration of green infrastructure is becoming increasingly important. Green roofs are becoming an increasingly popular feature of city infrastructure around the world. The European Green Capital Award was conceived as an initiative to promote and reward the efforts of cities the play an exemplary role in making urban environment greener and thereby improving the quality of life for its citizens.
