The EuroIndia Summit pursues cities’ sustainable urban development and so does the European Green Capital Award, which rewards local government high level of commitment to genuine sustainable growth.
Each year the award is given to a city that has a consistent record of achieving high environmental standards, is committed to ongoing and ambitious goals for further environmental improvement and sustainable development and can act as a role model to inspire other cities and promote best practice. The European Green Capital 2010 Stockholm served as an excellent model for its peers through a long-term approach to integrated, sustainable development.
