Green Cities Fit for Life

This November, the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) will hold the EWEA Offshore 2013 exhibition and conference in Frankfurt. This biennial event attracted more than 400 exhibitors and over 8,000 participants from 62 countries in 2011.

The three-day exhibition will provide a platform for the offshore wind energy industry to showcase and demonstrate their latest products and service. While the high quality conference, which has scheduled over 20 sessions, will get through a whole range of issues affecting the offshore wind energy industry the attendants.

The conference programme will feature plenary sessions which tackle the biggest issues facing the industry, panel debates gathering politicians and CEOs, as well as informative presentations bringing participants the latest technical developments. Recently, it has been announced that the European Wind Energy Association will hold its 2015 offshore wind conference and exhibition in Copenhagen, European Green Capital 2014.

Cities applying to the European Green Capital Award should examine their energy production. Renewable energy like wind is an excellent way to provide their citizens with clean, green energy. By working together, the industry is focusing on making wind energy an easy and acceptable choice for all cities.
