European Resources Forum (ERF 2014)

The European Resources Forum (ERF) will take place on 10th and 11th November 2014 at the “Eventpassage” conference and event centre in Berlin, Germany. The aim of the European Resources Forum (ERF) is to provide a European platform for discussion of the issue of sustainable resource use by focusing on the political and scientific debate on this subject.

During the conference Maria Krautzberger, President, Federal Environment Agency, Germany will provide the welcome and opening address.

The following plenary sessions will take place over the two days, amongst others:

  • Europe’s responsibility for a sustainable use of natural resources
  • Targets for a sustainable resource use
  • Natural resources – to whom do they belong?
  • Resources for the “Energiewende”
  • UNEP’s International Resource Panel on decoupling and urbanization
  • Sustainable development goals and post 2015 process

The conference will provide the opportunity for European decision-makers, experts from the fields of policy development, industry, academia, civil society and the media to network. This year’s conference is expected to draw some 400 participants.
