Healthy, Happy Cities, EUROCITIES Environment Forum in Bristol

The EUROCITIES Environment Forum focusing on Healthy, Happy Cities will take place from 7th – 9th October 2015 in Bristol, UK. The event will be chaired by Lot Van Hoojdonk, the deputy mayor for transport, mobility, sustainability and environment in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

The programme contains a combination of EUROCITIES working group meetings, study tours and workshops regarding funding and financing. A number of tools and self assessment methods in relation to cities’ sustainability will be presented and discussed by Happy City and the European Commission.

The final day will focus on finance for climate action, exploring financial instruments and funding opportunities for local climate action and initiatives. Practical examples of these financial instruments in action through cities experiences will be presented.
