The Second European Conference on Sustainability, Energy & the Environment 2014 will take place on 3rd-6th July at the Thistle Hotel Brighton in Brighton, UK. The theme of this year’s conference will be “Individual, Community & Society: Conflict, Resolution & Synergy” focusing on the various dimensions of human sustainability.

The conference will provide an opportunity for a number of high-level decision makers, scientists, academics and members of the global business community to meet and share ideas on a critical issue of common concern: the pursuit of a sustainable world.

The European Conference on Sustainability, Energy and the Environment is organised by the International Academic Forum IAFOR as part of a month-long series of academic events in the UK.

The selection of a city to be awarded the European Green Capital Award is assessed by an Expert Panel on the basis of twelve environmental indicators. Sustainable energy performance is key to winning the European Green Capital Award. In 2010,Stockholm, Sweden was the first European city to show the way by gaining this prestigious title.
