Sustainability, Society and the Environment: Searching for Synergies

July 4th – 7th 2013, Brighton, England

The Inaugural European Conference on Sustainability, Energy and the Environment (ECSEE2013), focusing on the topic “Sustainability, Society and the Environment: Searching for Synergies”, is set to take place from July 4th – 7th 2013 at the Thistle Hotel, Brighton, England. The three-day event is being run by the International Academic Forum in conjunction with its global partners. The International Academic Forum, also known as IAFOR, was founded in 2009 by a group of concerned Asian, European and North American academics and business professionals with the aim of providing and promoting meaningful dialogue irrespective of international borders.

The ECSEE2013 will bring together international experts who will be discussing and presenting the newest information and challenges facing energy, environment and sustainability issues across the world. The programme includes key-note speakers such as Jun Arima (Director General of the Japan External Trade Organisation) and Professor Stuart Picken (Chairman of the IAFOR International Advisory Board).

The events program includes sessions and discussions such as:

  • Land Use & Misuse – Towards Sustainable Housing in Palestine
  • Atmosphere and Air – Long Term and Current Urban Atmospheric Variation Changes at Ipoh City, Malaysia
  • Changing Energy Behaviour – The Story of Local Projects (UK)
  • An Analysis of Comprehensive Effectiveness of Tokyo’s Climate Policies
  • The Development of a Low-Carbon Tourism Application for Carbon Reduction in Tourism Sector in Penghu, Taiwan
  • Green Hubs Community Engagement and the Australian Carbon Pricing Scheme
