Central Europe towards Sustainable Building Prague 2013

Central Europe towards Sustainable Building Prague 2013 (CESB13) will take place from the 26th to the 28th of June 2013. The event is part of the 2013 International Conference Series which was convened under the auspices of four international organisations iiSBE, CIB, UNEP-SBCI and FIDIC. The purpose of the event is to discuss the topic of sustainable building and CESB13 will be the third conference in a row held on this topic. The previous CESB07 and CESB10 were attended by over 200 delegates from over 30 countries.

26-28.06.13 CESB2013

The CESB13 Scientific Committee accepted 256 papers for presentation from 42 countries. Presentations over the three-day event will be given on topics including:

  • Sustainable refurbishment of existing building stock
  • Industrial heritage regeneration
  • Low-tech and high-tech materials and technologies for sustainable buildings
  • Integrated building design

Presentations will be given by industry experts and there will also be a section dedicated to young researchers in sustainable building.

Like the European Green Capital Initiative, CESB13 intends on nurturing a network of support so that cities can learn from each other and move towards sustainable development.
