Celebrate Earth Hour
29th March 2014, Worldwide
Earth Hour 2014 will take place on Saturday 29th March 2014 between 8.30pm and 9.30pm in your local time zone. By switching off your lights for Earth Hour you are raising awareness of the importance of protecting the planet and making a pledge to do something positive for the planet that goes beyond the hour.
Earth Hour’s aim is to encourage individuals, businesses and governments to show the world what measures they are taking to reduce their environmental impact and to share the opportunities and challenges of creating a sustainable world.
Earth Hour is organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), one of the world’s leading independent conservation organisations with almost five million supporters and a global network in over 100 countries. WWF aims to stop the degradation of the natural environment, help people live more sustainably and take action against climate change.
Earth Hour 2014 will mark the eighth year of the campaign – to find out more click here.
