Green process engineering is an exciting and dynamic branch of engineering and one which should be nurtured in order to find solutions for many of modern society’s most worrying environmental threats. Research in green process engineering will also assist future European Green Capitals in achieving their sustainability goals. The European Green Capital Award aims to encourage cities to commit to ongoing and ambitious goals for further environmental improvement and sustainable development. The award is assessed on the basis of twelve environmental indicators evaluated by an Expert Panel.
