The 11th Sustainability Conference

The 11th International Conference on Environmental, Cultural, Economic, and Social Sustainability will take place on 21st – 23rd January 2015 at the Scandic Copenhagen Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. This year’s conference will focus on “Sustainability Dividends – Development Fault Lines.”

During the conference participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn more about the following topics including:

  • Creating Sustainable Spaces;
  • Energy Policy and Practice;
  • Student Knowledge: Educating for Environmental Sustainability;
  • Rethinking Sustainability;
  • Role of Society and Culture in Urban Sustainability;
  • New Directions in Sustainable Communities.

The conference will feature plenary sessions as well as numerous parallel presentations by researchers and practitioners. This year’s plenary speakers include:

  • Jacob Hartman, Senior Adviser, Sharing Copenhagen, EU Green Capital 2014, Municipality of Copenhagen;
  • Olaf Gerlach-Hansen is currently Senior Advisor at the Danish Cultural Institute (DCI);
  • Selina Juul, Founder of the Stop Wasting Food movement in Denmark;
  • Elsebeth Gerner Nielsen is the Rector of the Kolding School of Design in Denmark;
  •  Amareswar Galla, Chairperson, The Sustainability Knowledge Community and Editor, The Sustainability Journal Collection.
