This free one-day event will showcase some of the most renowned energy agencies from across Europe including South-West England, Upper Austria, Berlin, the Basque Country and Ireland. The most successful projects represented by the Croatian capital city of Zagreb as well as three other Croatian counties (Karlovac, Krapina-Zagorje and Zagreb County) will also be featured.

The programme includes key-note speakers such as Hrvoje Marušić (Director-General for EU Affairs, Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs), Raphaël Goulet (Head of Unit, Regional and Urban Policy DG, European Commission) as well as Dr. Siniša Hajdaš Dončić (Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Croatian Government). The dynamic of the sessions will be ensured by the moderator Mr. William Gillett, Head of Unit Renewable Energy at EACI. The historic venue of the Representative Office of Croatian Chamber of Economy will host the event and a selection of fine Croatian wines will highlight the occasion.

The selection of a city to be awarded the European Green Capital is assessed by an Expert Panel on the basis of twelve environmental indicators. Sustainable energy performance is key to winning the European Green Capital Award.
