Eco-Innovation: Empowering Entrepreneurship
11-12 December, Brussels, Belgium
The Eco-Innovation Conference will take place on the 11th and 12th of December in Brussels, Belgium. This event is aimed at focusing on the role of eco-innovation policies and businesses in supporting European competitiveness, jobs creation, environmental protection and the well-being of European citizens.
There will be an introduction on policy with regard to Eco-Innovation; following this the conference will then focus on existing examples of today’s eco-technologies, services and processes, which are key initiatives for Europe’s green economy and competitiveness. Particular attention will be given to the role of entrepreneurship and business incubation as an engine for microeconomic growth.
As well as providing an excellent opportunity for networking, the conference will present the latest policies for entrepreneurship & eco-innovation, laying the foundations for future collaborative project opportunities. An exhibition area will display examples of microeconomic accelerators from various regions as well as related EU initiatives.
Eco-Innovation is one of the 12 assessment criteria that applicant cities are evaluated on when entering the European Green Capital Award competition. The aim of the award is to recognise and reward local efforts to improve the environment, the economy, and the quality of life of growing urban populations.
