Copenhagen Culture Night
12 October 2012
On the evening of the 12th October 2012, you can experience what the 2014 European Green Capital- Copenhagen has to offer culturally, by taking part in its annual Culture Night at the European Environment Agency.
The European Environment Agency will be opening their doors to Copenhagen residents, families, tourists, environment enthusiasts, students and anyone interested in finding out and learning about our environment!
Copenhagen’s Culture Night has become an annual event where cultural institutions and many other organisations open their doors to offer a wide range of activities in an open house setting.
This year’s night will focus on the themes of water, our main source of life, and the often misunderstood bat. These themes have been chosen in honour of the UN International Year of Water and The year of the Bat.
Having recently been awarded the 2014 European Green Capital award, Copenhagen has been praised for its achievements, notably in terms of eco-innovation and sustainable mobility, its commitment to act as a role model for the green economy, in Europe and beyond, and for an exceptionally promising communication strategy
