29 – 30 November 2011, Cascais, Portugal
The GLOCAL 2011-Think Global, Act Local Conference will explore the principles, models and realities of local sustainability policies. The conference covers a vast number of topics, including sustainable planning and governance, public space appropriation, inclusive cities, responsible communication, entrepreneurship, green economy, urban green spaces, agriculture and energy.
The conference will ask the question “How can we prepare our cities for a sustainable future?” and hopefully provide some possible solutions via the speakers, guests, council representatives, and workshops.
As part of the Programme, PJ Rudden of the European Green Secretariat, will be making a presentation on the Award and best practice case studies that have been demonstrated as a result of Cities participating in the Award.
