EMAS Newsletter – Issue 02 / July 2014

Dear EMAS Community,

We hope you are enjoying the beautiful summer weather! To keep you entertained while sitting in the sun, this edition of the EMAS Newsletter has several interesting news and events updates. If the newsletter leaves you hungry for more EMAS news, you can always find out the latest on our social media sites. If you haven’t already, please come “like” EMAS & EU-Ecolabel on Facebook or follow us on Twitter!

But first, a special announcement: Starting in the autumn, we would like to include a profile of an EMAS organisation and the highlights from their environmental statement in every issue. All EMAS organisations that publish an environmental statement in the upcoming months are invited to send us the statement and a summary of the most interesting achievements and innovations contained in it. The statement and summary will then be published in the newsletter and on the EMAS website. We are looking forward to learning about how EMAS organisations are improving their environmental performance, so please send us your information!

Along the same line, we have already learned about interesting endeavours undertaken by two EMAS-registered organisations. To find out more about the creative ways in which the German Federal Cultural Foundation and the Belgian company mscKick&Rush are raising environmental awareness, take a look at the articles in our news review!

Finally, before you take off on your holidays, don’t forget to check out our updated Factsheet of EMAS-registered hotels and campsites!

Enjoy the read!
