Did you know that the European Commission is registered with EMAS? And so are many other EU institutions such as the European Parliament, the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU, the European Environment Agency, the European Central Bank and the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
To ensure transparency, these EU institutions and all other EMAS registered organisations collect information about their environmental activities, plans and performance and make this publicly available. In the EU EMAS register you can search for EMAS registered organisations and view the profile of each organisation. The Helpdesk also compiles the official statistics on EMAS registrations and posts these on a bi-annual basis.
