According to the EU Register, 108 new organisations joined the EMAS family between October 2018 and April 2019. We are happy to welcome the new members in the network and congratulate them for succeeding at the registration process!
The majority of the new registrations are from Italy (28%), Spain (26%) and Germany (24%). From very small companies to large sites, a combined total of 42,675 employees are changing their practices to work more sustainably. This time, the newbie with the most employees is Gruppo CAMST from Italy (11501 employees). The new organisation with the most sites is Strabag SK – counting 14 sites!
As of April, the EMAS Network counted 3,728 organisations and 12,342 sites. All sectors are represented. The waste sector has the most registrations (509 organisations), followed by the public sector (333 organisations) and the electricity and gas sector (256 organisations).
