The European Commission invites you to submit your application to the 2017 EMAS Awards until 15 February 2017. The theme for the 2017 edition of the EMAS Awards is ‘Contributing to making the European economy more circular'.
A circular economy is about taking an integrated approach to product and process sustainability. It’s about ensuring that the resource yield is optimised and that natural capital is preserved. The European Union has identified the circular economy as a topic of key importance on its political and economic agenda. Next year’s awards will acknowledge the achievements of EMAS registered organisations that have undertaken significant efforts and initiatives to contribute to making the European economy more circular.
What is your organisation doing to contribute to a more circular economy? Take part in the EMAS Awards and highlight your achievements that will inspire other organisations to do the same!
EMAS-registered organisations that would like to enter the competition are invited to contact their respective Competent Body to learn about the specific application process in their country. Please see this year’s application form and fact sheet on the EMAS Awards for more information.
The EMAS Awards ceremony will take place in May 2017 in Valletta, Malta.
