5-8 November 2014 Rimini, Italia Ecomondo 18th International Trade Fair of Material & Energy Recovery and Sustainable Development
Ecomondo is one of the largest international trade fairs of material and energy recovery and sustainable development and is the most highly accredited platform for the exploitation and re-use of materials in the Mediterranean Basin. This principal B2B and R2B meeting point will host discussions on the technical problems linked to waste management, environmental protection and restauration, sustainable transport, and smart cities. The EU Ecolabel Italian Competent Body from the Italian National Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) will represent the EU Ecolabel at this event.
29 June -  6 July 2014 Visby, Sweden Almedalen Week 2014
Journalists, lobbyists, local and national politicians and representatives of non-governmental organisations will gather in Visby. With speeches, seminars and other political activities, this forum is considered to be one of the most important in Swedish politics. During Almedalen Week, representatives from the major political parties in Sweden will present on diverse topics. The EU Ecolabel Swedish Competent Body from Ecolabelling Sweden will organise and present three seminars on public procurement at this forum.
3-5 June 2014 Brussels, Belgium Green Week Conference 2014
The 2014 edition of Green Week, the biggest annual conference on European environment policy, will take place at the Egg Conference Centre, Rue Bara, in Brussels. At the conference, Circular Economy, Resource Efficiency and Waste will be discussed. DG Environment will promote the EU Ecolabel and other EU environmental schemes at its stand. A guest visit to the DG ENV stand is planned from European Commissioner for the Environment Janez Potočnik
5 November 2013 Brussels, Belgium GEN International Conference: Challenges to Greening Markets Through Ecolabels
GEN (Global Ecolabelling Network) is a non-profit association of organizations leading ISO 14024 Type-1 ecolabelling schemes. The network's objective is to support ecolabelling schemes and improve their credibility worldwide.
This year's international conference will aim to explore the role and effectiveness of labels for sustainable production and consumption. The conference will be hosted by the European Commission, a member of GEN.
