Objective of the consultation
	The European Commission is preparing a Roadmap for a resource-efficient Europe as part of the resource-efficient Europe Flagship Initiative of the Europe 2020 Strategy. The purpose of this consultation was to collect the views of businesses, other stakeholders and the public at large on policy options for the Roadmap. We asked for informed opinions on the current situation (existing opportunities and main barriers to more efficient use of natural resources) and on the potential effectiveness of public policy tools in achieving a Resource Efficient Europe.
