In support of many governments’ commitments to reduce the loss of biodiversity as well as following up on this assessment, Ministries of the Environment and other organizations have developed a process of creating National platforms addressing nature conservation. The platforms and networks bring businesses on board to consider and incorporate natural systems concerns in their core activities on which they depend for their business future and sustainability. The aim is to bring together businesses from different sectors that have impacts on biodiversity.
The platforms vary in participants, some include businesses and government representatives others have civil society representatives.
