Community legislation on restrictions of marketing
and use of chemicals (Directive 76/769/EEC)
 Directive
76/769/EEC on restrictions of the marketing and use of
chemicals (the so-called Limitations Directive) is used to
restrict or prohibit the marketing and use of certain chemicals
which cause unacceptable risk to human health or the environment.
Among these chemicals there are also certain biocides.
Currently the following biocidal active substances are subject
to restrictions under this Directive:
