Pulp and paper: statistics

According to the NACE classification for manufacturing, the paper industry can be broken down into two sectors:

  • manufacture of pulp, paper and paperboard;
  • manufacture of paper articles and paperboard.

The two sectors are further subdivided as follows:

17.24 Manufacture of wallpaper

17.29 Manufacture of other paper articles and paperboard n.e.c.
