The role of networking in developing European sustainable tourism

The European Tourism Day took place on 8th October 2009 in Brussels (Square Brussels Meeting Centre, Rue du Mont des Arts, B-1000 Brussels).
The event organised by the Tourism Unit/Directorate General Enterprise and Industry was the occasion for numerous actors (about 400 participants) working in the field of European tourism to meet and discuss this year "The role of networking in development of European sustainable tourism".
Numerous networks and organisations presented their best practices and possible synergies and ways of mutual cooperation were discussed.
The 2009 European Tourism Day edition was held alongside other Tourism events, such as the European Tourism Forum on 9 October, the EDEN Awards Ceremony and the EDEN Exhibition.
