The European Network of Casa Dei Sites (RESC) is an association created in 2001 to mark the 1000th anniversary of Saint Robert of Turlande, founder of La Chaise-Dieu Abbey.

The European Network of Casa Dei Sites (RESC) is an association created in 2001 to mark the 1000th anniversary of Saint Robert of Turlande, founder of La Chaise-Dieu Abbey.

In the Middle Ages, the Benedictine congregation of La Chaise-Dieu expanded throughout France as well as Switzerland, Belgium, Spain and Italy. For more than seven centuries, the Abbey was the seat of a large network of priories and abbeys.

Almost 900 Casa Dei sites have been registered, covering architectural and countryside features that came under the authority of the head Abbey.

Created together with the communes of La Chaise-Dieu (France), Burgos (Spain) and Frassinoro (Italy), the association seeks to build a more humane Europe, based on this historical network. To help achieve this, it encourages cooperation and brings cultural and touristic values together around Casa Dei's heritage in order to engage in real socio-economic development work across Europe.
