One-stop procedure (OSN)
Notification of the intention to place radio equipment on the market: one-stop procedure (OSN).
Article 6.4 of the Directive 1999/5/EC obliges manufacturers to notify to the spectrum authorities of the Member States their intention to place products on the market that use spectrum that is not fully harmonised in the EU.
As of 7 January 2008 it is possible to send these notifications electronically using a one-stop procedure. Currently the following Member States and other countries that implement the R&TTE Directive participate: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland (who also handles the notifications for Liechtenstein) and the United Kingdom.
The system can be found at https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/osn.
Before you can access the system you need to identify yourself. Both manufacturers and those that wish to register on behalf of a manufacturer can do so, provided they have the required authorisation. Further information on using the system can be found in the Quick Guide to Requesting Access to Stakeholders Applications [109 KB] .
