Directive on Personal Protective Equipment - Guide to application
The new PPE Guidelines, including an updated Categorisation Guide, has been prepared by the relevant services of the Directorate General - Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission in collaboration with Member States, European industry, European standardisation and Notified Bodies. Its aim is to facilitate a common interpretation and application of the PPE Directive. Nevertheless, the readers' attention is drawn to the fact that only the relevant national transposition of the directive is legally binding.
The European Commission will undertake to maintain this Guidelines. It is our goal to ensure that the information provided is both timely and accurate. If errors are brought to our attention, we will try to correct them.
