Directive 94/9/EC: ExNBG Clarification Sheets noted by the ATEX Standing Committee

The public will want to be aware that the following Clarification Sheets are not legally binding but are references agreed by the European ATEX Notified Bodies Group (ExNBG) in order to minimise divergent interpretation by Notified Bodies of the technical requirements of the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC. See also the Consideration Paper: ExNBG Clarification Sheets: Status and use.

A number of the earlier sheets may have been superseded by adaptations to technical progress or further discussions but are considered relevant until they are withdrawn by the ExNBG.
