Directive 94/9/EC: Guidelines on the application

GUIDELINES ON THE APPLICATION OF DIRECTIVE 94/9/EC of 23 March 1994 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States concerning equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially Explosive Atmospheres - Third edition June 2009

It is the objective of the Commission services to ensure that the ATEX Guidelines are continuously updated. For this reason the new Guidelines are provided in .pdf as well as .html, the latter being updated as subject matters are resolved.

The members of the ATEX Standing Committee, at the meeting on 22 June 2009, unanimously formally approved the Third edition - June 2009, as the last consolidated version of the ATEX Guidelines, including all the updates according to the results of the relevant ATEX working parties in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, as well as some other minor and editorial changers.
