Conference Electronic Invoicing in Europe (27 and 28 April 2010)

The European Commission organised in collaboration with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU a Conference on "Electronic invoicing in Europe". The aim of the Conference was to validate the results of the public consultation on the Final Report of the Expert Group on e-Invoicing.

The conference has been organised around four sessions, each addressing different aspects of e-invoicing:
- SMEs and e-invoicing: how to facilitate the adoption of e-Invoicing by SMEs?
- Interoperability: how to achieve interoperability in a multiplayer environment?
- Standards: is the UN/CEFACT Cross Industry Invoice standard meeting user requirements?
- Legal issues for electronic invoices: the VAT legislative framework for electronic invoices.
