SPORT - 'Strategic Partnership on REACH Testing'
SPORT is a strategic partnership which was proposed by the European Chemicals Industry Council (CEFIC), and which ran from September 2004 to June 2005.
The partners are the European Commission (DG Enterprise and Industry, DG Environment and DG Joint Research Centre), 9 Member States, and the industry (CEFIC, UNICE, and representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises and downstream users). Within SPORT, the participants gained practical experience on REACH and the partners agreed on 39 recommendations which will provide valuable input to the REACH preparatory work currently on-going.
