Meetings of the High Level Group

Sixth and last meeting

The sixth meeting of the HLG was held on November 8, 2007. Issues addressed included: international action on climate change, better regulation and competitiveness.

Fifth meeting

The fifth meeting of the HLG was held on June 11, 2007. Issues addressed included: furthering economic and environmental performance, access to natural resources, secondary materials and waste.

At the meeting of 11 June 2007, the HLG agreed to create two ad hoc groups:

Fourth meeting

The fourth meeting of the HLG was held on February 27, 2007. Issues addressed included: incentives, innovation and technology policies helping energy intensive industries to adapt to the energy and climate change challenges.

At the meeting of 27 February 2007, the HLG agreed to create two ad hoc groups:

Third meeting

A third meeting of the HLG was held on October 30, 2006. Issues addressed included: long term energy futures and investment in power generation and energy efficiency.

At the meeting of 30 October 2006, the HLG agreed to create two ad hoc groups:

Second meeting

A second meeting of the HLG was held on June 2, 2006. Issues addressed included: electricity market, emissions trading scheme.

At the meeting of 2 June 2006, the HLG agreed to create two ad hoc groups:

First meeting

The HLG met for the first time on 28 February 2006 in Brussels. The meeting was dedicated to energy issues:
